Our History

Founder and CEO Andrea Wissing left her native country of Brazil after falling in love with the man who is now her husband. She and her daughter, Paloma, moved to Plano, TX to start their lives in America. She was convinced that she would continue her career as a lawyer.

Upon searching for a wax studio to get her routine Brazilian wax, Andrea was remiss to find no such place existed in the area. It was at this moment that Andrea decided to reunite with the skill which financed her law school – waxing.  She flew back to Brazil in search of chemist and dermatologist to create a special, hard wax unique made from a secret Brazilian ingredient. Once she returned to Plano, she hit the ground running to open what is now a town favorite among women and men alike – Depil Brazil Waxing Studio. Our Philosophy

Our incomparable 100% natural product and express technique make waxing at Depil Brazil a uniquely soothing and a less painful experience.

The secret is in the wax. Created by us for exclusive use in our studio, the dermatologist-tested wax is specially formulated with organic ingredients from Brazil. Heated to a warm temperature, our extremely elastic wax eliminates hair breakage, keeping your hair-free and healthier than shaving. Depil Brazil’s less painful technique, mastered in Brazil, is fast and effective alternative to salon waxing. Our trained estheticians apply the 100% natural wax to all areas at one time. The large wax pieces are then removed, no paper products involved, creating a much cleaner and pleasant experience, and allowing many areas of the body to be waxed simultaneously.

Although everyone’s skin and hair type is different, there are normally two “pulls” to the application. The first “pull” removes around 80 percent of the hair, while a second is a retouch that is painless and removes the remaining percent. Because both the hair and its root are removed, you will enjoy incomparably long-lasting results, with skin that is smooth, soft and supple to the touch.

Our Technique

From our receptionists to our skilled estheticians, our highly trained staff is focused on your comfort and convenience. Each Depil Brazil esthetician undergoes more than two weeks of rigorous training to master Brazil’s secret hair removal process. Following traditional licensure, each esthetician completes a two-week theory course and then participates in shadowing management to perfect the Depil Brazil express method. Because all we do is wax, even our atmosphere is different. We offer a quiet, clean, spa-like alternative to hair or nail salons as well as a less painful approach to waxing using an express Brazilian technique.
